I can teach marketing tactics to personal trainers and boot camp instructors all day but it wont do a damn bit of good if you can’t get clients to truly love you… I didn’t say like you… I said  LOVE you!

hugSo how do you get them to LOVE you?? Here are a few of my fav tips:

1. Energy! Bring it to EVERY session! I have been going under cover here in Canberra to many Boot Camps and so many fitness trainers are as boring as shit… F#$k that… Each session is a performance… Like they say f#@k like you are being filmed (you need to do the same at EVERY Bootcamp session).

2. Add value to your Boot Camps by doing exercises that they can’t or won’t do on there own.

Here’s an example.

Each client has their own tyre and take them through a set of oblique tyre throws… the next day they will have the sorest abs/intercostals… And this they will NEVER be able to duplicate this feeling on their own.

3. Make your clients think you were up all night planning their workout…

Here’s a tip…

PLAN your damn sessions in advance.

This is one of the reasons I took 5 months to put together my worldwide seller in www.bootcampbasics.com.au complete manual. It has 12 weeks of session plans done-for-you, just plug and play!!!

4. Thank your clients after each workout… One of the top human desires is to feel appreciated.

5. As a follow on from No 4, be sure to give an appreciation vibe. Be sure let them know that if it wasn’t for them you would have a 9-5 job (YUCK).

6. Give your clients continual yet probably needless exercise corrections to position you as an authority. This makes clients feel like they are getting even more value from you and makes them feel like they may not be doing exercise correctly and are less likely to leave you as they don’t want to train on their own incase they are doing it incorrectly (bit sneaky I know, but trust me it helps, and it also keeps you speaking in the sessions). When you make these corrections, be sure to explain just why it is soooo important that they have the posture correct etc… (but only an expert like you would understand it and know how to fix it)

7. Greet your clients with enthusiasm every session. If you are not excited to see them, then they won’t be excited to continue with you.

8. One of the strongest human emotions is the desire feel important. When your client rocks up act like they are the most important in the world The actually are, because if you don’t have clients you don’t have an income!

9. Have a secret fitness formula.

Here is mine:

I know Clients don’t have the time or motivation to workout for an hour + do cardiovascular sessions on their own.

So I came up with the body-overhaul structure that does it all in a shorter period of time. I do follow the structure of the ‘Crossfit’ community mentality though of fitter, faster, stronger, in as short as a time as possible.

We workout between 20 – 40 mins at a high intensity, so they get their workout and cardio at the same time.

So be ready to ‘BRING IT’ EVERY workout.
